Last week’s Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai had one trophy winner, but the champion will likely be ours. A Verve hostess showed considerable poise and discipline, after the widely reported champagne incident by Lewis Hamilton.
Upon winning the race, Hamilton proceeded to pour champagne on one of our hostesses, considered by some racers, a normality in post-racing celebrations. Despite some backlash on social media, hostess Liu Siying has stated on her Weibo (China’s Twitter counterpart), that she “didn’t think too much about it”.
With social media spheres buzzing about the event, Verve International has been excited to see its hostesses viewed in such a positive light. Though opinions regarding the incident will vary, it’s the true professionalism of our grid girls that really stands out.
Jordan Campbell, Managing Director at Verve International commented: “Every sporting event will have some spontaneity; the key is to be a good sport about it”.
Verve has contributed a significant amount of hostesses for Chinese Grand Prix, amongst its other races through the world, and is looking forward to continuing its exciting cooperation with Formula 1 in future.
